Education & Impact

In 2016, after leaving Nashville to help care for his parents, Ronnie launched the JAG (Jobs for America's Graduates) program at Vidalia Junior High in Vidalia, Louisiana. Rather than follow a standard curriculum, he built his own from scratch, one designed to meet students where they were and challenge them to go further than they thought possible. Over four years the program earned two state awards and a national award, and more than 90 percent of his students improved their GPA and reduced behavioral issues.

In 2022, Ronnie became the founding instructor of Project SEARCH Natchez, part of a national initiative operating in 48 states and 10 countries that provides real world, on the job training to young men and women with disabilities. Since its launch, every single graduate of the Natchez program has secured employment or been on track to do so by the time they crossed the stage. That record earned the program the 100% Outcome Award at the Project SEARCH National Convention. The Natchez program operated until state funding for Project SEARCH locations across Mississippi was discontinued. The work it did in that time spoke for itself.

Beyond the classroom, Ronnie has shared his message with students, youth organizations, civic groups, and community organizations across the region. His approach is rooted in real experience, real stories, and a genuine belief that the right words at the right moment can change the direction of someone's life.

He is currently working on a book that draws directly from the curriculum he built and taught, written for students, young professionals, and anyone who wants to operate at a higher level. More details coming soon.
